Jihadists of the Islamic State have published a photo of a man identified by the Sri Lankan authorities as the leader of attacks on several churches in hotels in which more than 320 people died, the AP agency reported.
The Islamic State, which previously claimed responsibility for the attacks, released the photo through the Amak agency.
Sri Lankan authorities attributed the attack to a local radical Muslim group. The leader of that group, Muhamed Zahran or Zahran Hashni, became famous three years ago because of inflammatory statements on the Internet.
Attacks on churches and hotels in and around Colombo took place on Sunday while believers celebrated Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.
