The prominent editor of the American version of the women's magazine "El" claims in an interview with the weekly "New York", published on Friday, that in 1995 or 1996, Donald Trump raped her in a luxury New York department store.
E. Jean Carroll, now 75, says she met the former real estate developer because she knew him at the entrance to the Bergdorf Goodman department store in upscale Manhattan.
Trump asked her to help him find a gift "for one woman," which she accepted, but then revealed that the woman was her.
The future president of the United States of America then asked her to choose some underwear and went with her to the fitting room, which the editor, she says, first took as a joke.
Then Trump locked himself in a cabin with her, forcibly kissed her, and then raped her.
However, Carol soon freed herself from the attacker and ran away.
She explains that she did not press charges at the time for fear of retaliation, but that she had discussed the matter with two reporters who both confirmed to "New York" that they had heard the same version of the story that the editor has now told the weekly.
15 women have already accused Donald Trump of sexually abusing them, which he has denied.
In addition to the interview, the editor presented her testimony in the autobiographical book "What Do We Need Men For? A Modest Proposal" ("What Do We Need Men For? A Modest Proposal"), in which she writes that she was a victim of attacks by other men as well.
