The Secretary of Defense of the United States of America (USA) Mark Esper said today that according to the current plan, the US military will move from northern Syria to western Iraq, where they will continue the fight against the Islamic State in order to prevent the re-establishment of that terrorist organization.
Esper did not rule out the possibility of US forces carrying out anti-terrorist missions in Syria from Iraq.
He told the journalists, who are traveling with him to the Middle East, that the details will be worked out successively.
Esper added that he had discussed with his Iraqi counterpart a plan to move more than 700 troops to western Iraq.
