On Wednesday, the Pentagon published a video and photos of the action of American soldiers in which the leader of the terrorist organization Islamic State, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was killed on the night from Saturday to Sunday, according to world media.
U.S. Commander Gen. Kenneth Frank McKenzie showed video and photos Wednesday at a press conference at the Pentagon.
One recording was also published on the social platforms of the US Army's Central Command (CENTCOM).
"The individuals who planned and carried out this mission are great professionals, focused on their mission, rather than fame and recognition. Dedicated people do a hard and risky job and they did it well," said the Central Command, noting that American aircraft were fired at from two locations near the hideout where Baghdadi was, reports Al Jazeera Balkans.
