At least 36 fighters of Syrian pro-government forces were killed today in airstrikes by Turkish aviation on the Kurdish enclave of Afrin, in northwestern Syria, the non-governmental organization Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced.
That non-governmental organization based in Great Britain stated that 36 members of pro-regime forces were killed in airstrikes on the site of Kfar Jana.
As stated by the Observatory, this is the third bombing of positions of forces loyal to the government of President Bashar al-Assad in the last 48 hours.
On January 20, the Turkish army began Operation "Olive Branch" and launched air and artillery attacks on the Kurdish People's Protection Units in Afrin.
Ankara considers those Kurdish formations terrorist.
