An 86-year-old man from South Carolina, USA, robbed a bank by firing a gun both in the bank and at a car while fleeing, according to the police who soon caught him.
Gilbert Ware, wearing a mask over his face, walked into a Bank of America branch in Greenville, where he lives, on Monday before noon, ordered the clerk to put money in a bag and fired a gun into the air.
While fleeing in his truck after the robbery, he fired one shot into the driver's window of a passing car.
No one was hurt.
He was stopped a kilometer and a half from the bank and arrested. Police did not say how much money he took.
Ware has been charged with bank robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
