Today, China launched the last satellite of the Beidou navigation network, which is a competitor to the American Global Positioning System (GPS).
According to Chinese state media, the satellite was successfully launched on the "Long March-3" rocket.
The satellite was launched from the Chinese province of Sichuan, in the southwest of the country.
The launch was scheduled for last Sunday but was delayed due to technical issues.
The Beidou navigation system, which means "Big Cart", was developed by China in the 1990s and first launched in 2000.
A total of 55 satellites were launched within all versions of the system.
