The Supreme Court of the US state of Nevada ruled today that Joseph Biden defeated Donald Trump in the presidential election held on November 3, making the voting result official.
That unanimous decision by seven non-partisan judges gives Biden six electronic votes from that western US state.
The court proceedings have drawn additional scrutiny amid legal efforts by Trump's staff and the Republican Party to prevent all 1,82 million mail-in ballots from being accepted and to stop the counting of 1,4 million other ballots.
Biden won in Nevada with 33.596 votes, or 50,06 percent, while Trump received 47,67 percent of the vote.
The turnout of more than 1,8 million registered voters in that state was almost 77,3 percent, while it was 76,8 percent during the 2016 presidential election, when Democrat Hillary Clinton won Nevada by a little less than 2,5 percent. in relation to Trump.
