US President Donald Trump today condemned the "brutal and corrupt" Iranian regime.
"Iranians are finally standing up against the brutal and corrupt Iranian regime," said Donald Trump in a morning message on Twitter, who had already supported the protests and said it was "time for change" in Iran.
Commenting on the protests, Trump wrote on Twitter: "People have little food, high inflation and no human rights."
At least nine people died last night during protests in Iran, and a total of 21 people died since the beginning of the demonstrations.
The protests have been ongoing since Thursday across the country and are the largest in the country since protests following the disputed 2009 presidential election.
