At least 43 migrants drowned off the coast of Tunisia while trying to cross the Mediterranean from Libya to Italy, and 84 were rescued, the Red Crescent organization announced today.
The migrant ship was carrying people from Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea and Bangladesh, the humanitarian organization said, reports Reuters.
Almost 19,8 thousand migrants arrived in Italy, one of the main migrant destinations in Europe, since the beginning of the year.
