The authorities of the Chinese city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus appeared at the end of 2019, announced today the testing of all residents after the appearance of several cases of covid-19.
Three new cases of covid-19 were confirmed yesterday in Wuhan, a city with a population of 11 million.
A total of seven tested positive for the virus, but four had no symptoms. These are workers who came to Wuhan from other provinces.
The city is "expediting PCR testing of all its residents," a city official said at a press conference today.
The last cases of coronavirus in Wuhan were in May.
The delta strain of the coronavirus appeared last month in eastern China.
