Nine people were killed today in a capital city of Kenya when a crane used in the construction of a multi-story building collapsed.
One worker was seriously injured, and an investigation into the incident is underway, Nairobi police said.
Police said the crane collapsed while workers were dismantling it.
One of the workers said that the crane fell after finishing work on the 14th floor.
Among the victims are two Chinese engineers.
A Chinese construction company is managing the construction project of a fourteen-story building that is supposed to be a hostel for students.
