The Taliban have established a special battalion of suicide bombers in the north of the country to protect the borders with China and Tajikistan, the deputy governor of Badakhshan province Mullah Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi said today.
"A special suicide squad called Lashkar-e Mansur will be deployed to the Afghan borders," he said, the agencies reported.
Suicide bombers from this detachment participated in terrorist attacks against the forces of the overthrown government and members of the international coalition led by the United States of America.
"The defeat of the United States would have been impossible without this squad." Those brave warriors wear special explosive belts and used them to detonate American bases in Afghanistan," Ahmadi said.
After the United States announced plans to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan, the Taliban began a major operation to seize the country under their control.
The agencies remind that on September 6, complete control over the entire territory of Afghanistan was secured, and the next day they presented a new government consisting only of members of the movement, most of whom are ethnic Pashtuns.
No country has recognized the legitimacy of the Taliban government.
