At least one person was killed and 12 injured in an explosion caused by a gas leak in a building in the northern neighborhood of Mexico City, city officials said.
Among the injured, five were hospitalized, said Mayor Claudia Scheinbaum, without specifying the cause of the explosion that took place on Saturday and destroyed a two-story brick and concrete structure in the Colonia Pensil neighborhood.
The city's civil protection office said it was probably a gas leak.
Most Mexican homes use gas cylinders for cooking.
