US President Joseph Biden today received the fourth dose of Pfizer's anti-covid vaccine and called on the US Congress to approve billions of dollars in additional funding to fight the corona virus pandemic.
Biden received the so-called second "booster" dose a day after federal regulators approved giving a fourth dose of the anti-covid vaccine to people 50 and older.
Biden received the first two vaccines against the corona virus shortly after taking office as president in January last year, and the third in September.
Today, he appealed to members of Congress to immediately approve additional funds to ensure a continuous supply of vaccines.
The fourth dose of the vaccine should strengthen the protection of the most vulnerable groups against the corona virus, which has led to the death of more than 975.000 people in the USA.
