Swiss President Ignacio Cassis said that his country had joined the international community in imposing strict sanctions against Moscow for its attack on Ukraine, but that this did not mean that Switzerland had abandoned its traditional neutrality.
Kassis and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi agreed in Tokyo that Russia is responsible for attacks on Ukrainian civilians, reports N1.
Hayashi assessed that the Russian invasion is undermining the foundations of the international order, not only in Europe, but also in Asia.
"It is time for the international community to unite, more than ever," Hayashi said.
Kassis told reporters that Switzerland is calling on Russia to stop the invasion immediately, reports AP.
