I have to drink this filth - if I had known the water situation was this bad, I would never have agreed to get married.
With these words, a resident of a village in central India describes the troubles with water that this country has, since India is one of the 17 countries in the world that is accompanied by a major problem with drinking water.
BBC journalist Divja Arja traveled across India to find out what the water situation is and how it affects the community.
In the villages, where about 200 million people live, there is still no tap water. Instead of getting water from a pipe in the village, the women carry water in heavy containers from a spring several kilometers away, from which the buffaloes drink.
