Police in New Zealand launched an investigation after a family there found human remains in a suitcase they bought at auction.
The police launched a murder investigation and are trying to identify the remains, and the family that bought the suitcase is not under suspicion of being involved in anything, the BBC writes.
Several of the family's neighbors reported a stench wafting from their property before police arrived.
The family bought a trailer full of things in a local warehouse, including a suitcase, and they only found the human remains when they got home and opened it.
Police officials said their priority was to identify the person, but added that it would take time.
