The American online shopping giant Amazon has announced that it will cut "slightly more than 18.000" jobs.
As reported on its website, Amazon CEO Andy Jesse said the company has revised its November 2022 decision to cut about 10.000 jobs.
Amazon "plans to cut a little over 18.000 jobs," Jesse said.
The decision also applies to jobs in Europe.
The company doubled the number of employees in the period 2020 - 2022 to respond to the huge demand during the covid-19 pandemic.
