The Meta company announced that it will restore former US President Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts in the coming weeks.
Trump's accounts on those social networks were blocked two years ago due to the riot on Capitol Hill on January 6.
Meta said in a blog post that it had "put in place new safeguards to prevent repeat violations."
"In the event that Mr. Trump continues to post content that violates the rules, it will be removed and he will be suspended for between one month and two years, depending on the severity of the violation," wrote Nick Clegg, Meta's president of global affairs. in a blog post.
