Three children and three adults were killed in a shooting at a private Christian school in Nashville, a city in the American state of Tennessee.
They were shot by a XNUMX-year-old woman who was found dead after an armed confrontation with the police, officials said.
The woman had at least two semi-automatic rifles and a handgun, police said.
"Two officers from a five-man squad shot at her in the lobby and she died," Don Aaron, a police spokesman, told reporters.
"The police response was quick," Aaron said.
Nashville Mayor John Cooper expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and stated that his city "joined the terrible, long list of communities that have experienced a school shooting."
