Between 67 and 2019, around 2021 million children were completely or partially deprived of routine vaccines due to disruptions in health systems related to the covid 19 pandemic, the United Nations (UN) announced this morning.
The situation caused by limitations in health systems has set the world back more than 10 years in terms of vaccination of children, according to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The UNICEF report warns that "getting back on track will be a challenge."
UNICEF states that during the mentioned period, 48 million children did not receive a single vaccine.
