The United States Army (USA) released today a video of an "unsafe" Chinese maneuver in the Taiwan Strait.
The incident occurred on Saturday while an American destroyer and a Canadian frigate were in "free navigation" through the strait.
A Chinese navy ship blocked the path of the US destroyer, forcing it to slow down to avoid a collision.
The US military's Indo-Pacific Command said the Chinese ship had violated maritime rules of safe passage in international waters.
The Chinese ship did not attempt a similar maneuver when the Canadian frigate, which was sailing behind the American destroyer, passed, according to AP.
