At least one person has died and ten are missing after a boat carrying migrants sank not far from Tunisia, officials said.
Judge Fauzi Masmudi from Sfax, the second largest city in Tunisia, said that the migrants were trying to reach Italy via the Mediterranean Sea.
He told Reuters that the coast guard rescued 11 people from the ship, which sailed off the coast of the town of Zarzis.
Other details have not been released yet.
