Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during Kim's visit to Russia, and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu will also participate in the talks.
This was reported by the Interfax news agency, citing Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Reuters reports.
Kim left Pyongyang for Russia on his private train on Sunday, North Korean state media reported. Putin is currently attending an economic forum in the city of Vladivostok in Russia's far east.
Kim arrived for the visit along with top military officials who run weapons and ammunition factories, AP reported.
Interfax previously reported that the train crossed Hasan station in an "atmosphere of absolute secrecy" on Tuesday morning.
Hasan is a small settlement in the Russian Far East and the triple border where the borders of Russia, China and North Korea meet.
