The spokeswoman of the White House said today that the United States of America (USA) "through analysis of aerial photographs, intercepted communications and public information" concluded that Israel did not attack a hospital in Gaza, reported the Agence France-Presse.
"We continue to gather information, but our position today is that Israel is not responsible for the explosion that occurred in the hospital in Gaza," said Adrienne Watson, spokeswoman for the US Security Council on the X platform.
US President Joseph Biden visited Israel today to prevent the war between Israel and Hamas from spreading to the region.
Biden's visit was preceded by an explosion in a hospital in the Gaza Strip in which hundreds of people died, as claimed in the Palestinian territory.
There are conflicting claims about responsibility for the explosion.
Officials in Gaza claim that the cause was an Israeli airstrike, reports AP.
Israel has denied this and released a series of video and audio recordings, and other information that it claims show that the explosion was caused by a misfired rocket by Islamic Jihad, which is the organization it originated from.
