The earthquake that hit the western part of Japan on January 1 killed 202 people, officials announced today.
According to the new balance published by the local authorities, 102 people are missing.

The earthquake devastated a narrow strip about a hundred kilometers long in the Sea of Japan, triggering landslides and collapsing buildings and roads.
