The United States of America (USA) does not want a war with Yemen, but will not hesitate to take further steps in response to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea, the White House said.
"We are not interested in a war with Yemen. We are not interested in a conflict of any kind," White House spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

He said that everything US President Joseph Biden was doing was an attempt to prevent any escalation of the conflict, including last night's strikes, Reuters reported.
The US and Great Britain carried out dozens of air strikes on Houthi positions in Yemen overnight, killing at least five fighters of the Yemeni militant group.
