The President of the United States of America (USA) Joseph Biden today called Yemen's Houthis a "terrorist" group, after American and British warplanes, ships and submarines carried out dozens of airstrikes across Yemen overnight, Reuters reports.
Biden said Washington would respond to the Houthis if they continued what he called outrageous behavior.
London and Washington say their airstrikes in Yemen, most of which is controlled by the Houthis, were in retaliation for the movement's months-long attacks on shipping in the Red Sea by Iran-backed fighters in response to the ongoing war in Gaza.
