The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) announced today that it is pausing food and aid deliveries in northern Gaza, after residents shot at truck drivers and violently tried to take the load.
"The convoys faced total chaos and violence due to the collapse of civil order," the WFP said in a statement.
The WFP tried to resume aid deliveries in northern Gaza after a three-week break following an attack on an Israeli army aid convoy.
He also states that one in six children under the age of two is acutely malnourished and that people are dying from hunger-related cases, and that the situation is even worse in northern Gaza.
"Over the past two days, our teams have witnessed an unprecedented level of desperation," WFP said.
