Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei thanked the country's armed forces for their operation against Israel and called on them to "constantly monitor military innovations and learn enemy tactics," the official Iranian news agency reported.
Tehran first openly targeted Israel on April 13 with more than 300 missiles and drones in what it said was retaliation for Israel's attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus on April 1, Reuters reports.
"It is not a primary issue how many rockets were launched and how many hit the target. What is really important is that Iran showed its willpower during that operation," Khamenei said.
Explosions rocked the Iranian city of Isfahan on Friday, April 19, and sources said it was an attack from Israel.
Tehran claims that it is a minor incident and that it does not plan to retaliate.
