The report of the administration of the President of the United States of America (USA) Joseph Biden, which will be published soon, will not contain the conclusion that Israel violated the conditions for the use of American weapons, said today three people who are familiar with the contents of the document.
The report is expected to be highly critical of Israel, although it will not include an assessment that Israel has violated the terms of the US-Israeli arms accords, a US official said.
Two US officials and another person familiar with the findings of the national security memo that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will present to the US Congress commented on the contents of the document before its release, and therefore requested anonymity.
A senior Biden administration official said the memo was expected to be released later today, but declined to comment on the document's findings.
The document comes after seven months of Israeli airstrikes, ground attacks and restrictions on the access of humanitarian aid to the population of Gaza, with 35.000 dead, mostly Palestinian women and children.
Under pressure from US Democratic lawmakers and others, the Biden administration has been forced to release a first-of-its-kind public assessment of whether Israel is lawfully using bombs and other security support it receives from the US in its conflict with the Palestinians.
Israel is the largest recipient of US military aid and has been America's security partner for more than half a century.
The Aksios news portal was the first to write about the memorandum.
