The Republican candidate for the vice president of the United States of America (USA) JD Vance attacked the American vice president Kamala Harris last night, accusing her of lying about the mental abilities of the president Joseph Biden.
After the 81-year-old US president withdrew from the re-election race last night and endorsed the candidacy of Kamala Harris, Vance wrote on the X network that "Joe Biden is the worst president" in the last 40 years.
"Joe Biden is the worst president of my lifetime and Kamala Harris has been right there with him every step of the way. Over the last four years, she has signed on to Biden's open border policies and green scams that have driven up the cost of housing and groceries," Vance wrote.
Vance, a senator from Ohio and Donald Trump's vice-presidential candidate, said that Harris was responsible "for all these failures" and added that she "lied for almost four years about Biden's mental abilities, burdening the nation with a president who can't do the job."
"President Trump and I are ready to save America, whoever the Democratic presidential candidate is," Vance added.
In previous days, when many Democrats were calling for Biden to step down, Vance indicated that he should resign as head of state if he withdraws from the presidential race.
Last night, the Central Committee of the Republican Party also turned its attention to Kamal Haris, since she became the favorite for the Democratic Party candidate in the November presidential elections.
"Every single failure we've seen from Joe Biden — the withdrawal from Afghanistan, the border crisis, devastating inflation and the weakening of America abroad — has been delivered alongside Kamala Harris. Not only would Harris be a disaster in the White House, but she also helped Biden to cover up her deteriorating health while in office, which destroys her credibility," the Republican Party Central Committee said.
Since Biden last night supported Kamala Harris in the race for the Democratic presidential candidate, so did a number of prominent figures of that party, such as Bill and Hillary Clinton, but not former President Barack Obama.
