The Gaza Civil Defense announced that at least 25 people were killed today in an Israeli attack on two schools located in a school complex in Gaza City, which houses thousands of people displaced by the war in the Palestinian territory.
"At least 25 martyrs, mostly children and women, were killed, and 50 wounded, mostly children and women, were transported to the Baptist hospital in the city, after the Israeli attack," Civil Defense spokesman Mahmud Basal told AFP.
He added that the Hasan Salameh and Al-Nasr schools in Gaza were targeted.
This attack was also confirmed by the Israeli army, with the claim that the places where Hamas soldiers are hiding were targeted.

A barrage of at least five rockets was fired from the southern Gaza Strip at the Ashdod area in southern Israel.
Some of the rockets were intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile system, and some hit open areas, and there were no injuries, writes the Times of Israel.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. One of the five rockets hit an open area near the town of Bicaron, causing a fire.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said another rocket hit the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council, causing no injuries.
Missile sirens also sounded overnight in the northern town of Snir, near the border with Lebanon.

Twelve people were killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza early this morning.
The Israelis carried out attacks on a refugee camp inside a hospital complex in central Gaza and in the north of the territory.
An Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip early this morning on a tent camp housing displaced people in the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital killed four people, including a woman, and wounded several others, health officials said. They did not say whether civilians or fighters were killed.
An Associated Press reporter filmed men rushing to the scene to help the wounded and retrieve the bodies as they tried to put out the fire.
Deir al-Balah Hospital is the main medical facility operating in central Gaza, and thousands of people have taken refuge there after fleeing their homes over the past ten months.
In a separate strike, a house in northern Gaza was destroyed, eight people were killed, including a family with three children, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced.
