Five people were killed in a helicopter crash in central Nepal on Wednesday.
Among the dead were the pilot and four Chinese passengers.
Agence France-Presse reports that the "Air Dynasty" helicopter was going from the capital of Kathmandu to Syabrubesa, the starting point for many hiking routes popular with tourists.
The State Administration for Civil Aviation announced that the helicopter lost contact three minutes after takeoff. They specified that the aircraft crashed in the Nuvakot district north of the capital.
"All five people in the helicopter, including the pilot, are dead," police spokesman Dan Bahadur Karki told AFP.
Nuvakot officer-in-charge Ram Krishna Adhikari said that the bodies of the victims have been recovered from the accident site.
"The police have already arrived at the scene," he said.
Nepal's aviation industry, as reported by AFP, has been on the rise in recent years, but has underdeveloped safety conditions due to poor staff training and maintenance.
