Iran has threatened to take "measures" in response to new sanctions announced against Tehran by Great Britain, Germany and France, denying claims that it has supplied ballistic missiles to Russia to strike Ukraine.
"This action by three European countries is a continuation of the hostile policy of the West and economic terrorism against the Iranian people," said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanani.
He added that "the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond in an appropriate and proportionate manner", without specifying which "measures" are in question.
Kanani once again rejected claims that Iran had supplied weapons to Russia.
