Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris said at a caucus in North Carolina, one of the key US states for the outcome of the November election, that she believes voters are owed another debate.
Several public opinion polls have shown that Harris outperformed Republican opponent Donald Trump in the first presidential debate, Voice of America reports.
Trump has announced that he will not participate in another presidential debate.
"When a fighter loses a match, the first thing he looks for is a rematch. The polls clearly show that, on Tuesday night, I won the debate against my friend Kamala Harris - the candidate of the radical left of the Democrats. She immediately called for another debate," wrote the former president on social to the "Istina" network, blame the current administration for the bad state of the country.
He pointed out that "there will be no third debate".
Donald Trump announced today that he is rejecting a new debate against his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, in a publication on his platform Truth Social.
"There will be no third debate," the Republican candidate said, although there have been calls for another debate to be held in a month.
