The Israeli military said today that there is a "high probability" that the three hostages who were found dead several months ago - were killed in an Israeli airstrike.
The investigation is said to have determined that the three hostages were likely killed in the November airstrike that also killed one of the Hamas leaders, Ahmed Gandour.
All three hostages were kidnapped in a Hamas attack on October 7. Their bodies were found in December, but the cause of death was determined only recently.
In its report, the military said there was a "high probability" that the victims were killed in the attack based on where the bodies were found, pathology reports and other intelligence.
However, it is stated that "it is not possible to definitively determine the circumstances of their death".
These conclusions could further increase the pressure on the Israeli government to reach an agreement on the return of the remaining hostages held by Hamas.
