US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is leading Republican candidate and former US President Donald Trump, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.
Data show that Harris leads with a 47 percent chance of winning the presidential election over Trump, who has a 40 percent chance.
The US presidential election takes place on November 5.
When asked which candidate has a better approach to the issue of "economy, unemployment and jobs", about 43 percent of voters in the survey chose Trump, and 41 percent chose Harris. Trump's advantage of two points when it comes to the mentioned topics, has decreased compared to the earlier advantage he had. Trump had an 11-point lead when Harris first started her presidential campaign.
While surveys such as the Reuters/Ipsos poll provide important clues about the attitudes of the electorate, the results of state electors decide the winner.
Data from the latest poll is based on a survey of 1.029 Americans nationwide, including 871 registered voters. Among them, 785 believe they will go to the polls. Among those who believe that he will go to the elections, Harris leads with 50 percent, while Trump has 44 percent.
