Israel's attack on Iran damaged facilities at a secret military base southeast of the Iranian capital, which experts previously linked to Tehran's nuclear program and another base linked to its ballistic missile program, satellite images analyzed today by The Associated Press (AP) show.
Some of the damaged buildings are in Iran's Parchin military base.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) suspects that Iran has previously tested explosives of high destructive power there that could be a trigger for nuclear weapons.
Iran has long maintained that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, although the IAEA and Western intelligence agencies, among others, say Tehran has had an active weapons program since 2003.
Other damage is seen at the Khojir military base, which analysts believe hides an underground system of tunnels and rocket production sites.
Iran did not confirm damage to those military bases in the Israeli strike early Saturday, but said four Iranian soldiers working in air defense systems were killed.
Iran's UN mission did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the report, nor did the Israeli military.
