The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today that the death toll in the Palestinian territory since the beginning of the war with Israel more than a year ago has reached 43.508.
At least 39 people have been killed in the past 24 hours.
The total number of wounded is 102.684 since October 7, 2023, when the Gaza war broke out, triggered by Hamas' attack on southern Israel.

Lebanon's Hezbollah announced today that it fired rockets at an Israeli naval base near Haifa, in northern Israel, in the second such attack in 24 hours.
"It is a response to the attacks and massacres committed by Israel's enemy in Lebanon," Hezbollah said, specifying that it targeted the Stella Maris naval base northwest of Haifa.
That pro-Iranian movement announced yesterday that it attacked that base with rockets, citing the same reasons.
In a separate statement, Hezbollah stated that today it fired rockets at the Ramat David air base, which is located about 45 kilometers from the Israeli-Lebanese border.
Hezbollah has been firing missiles at Israel since October 8, 2023, a day after the start of the war between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas in the Gaza Strip, triggered by an unprecedented attack by Hamas on Israeli soil. Hezbollah says it is acting in support of Hamas.
Since September 23, Israel has been conducting a campaign of intensive attacks in Lebanon, and since September 30, it has launched a ground offensive in the south of Lebanon.
Israel says it wants to neutralize Hezbollah to allow the return of about 60.000 residents in northern Israel, displaced by incessant rocket attacks since the start of the Gaza war.

An Israeli attack on the southern Lebanese city of Sidon killed three Lebanese citizens and wounded three soldiers, the Lebanese army said Thursday, and the Malaysian government said six members of its UNIFIL force were injured.
In the attack, a car was hit while it was passing a checkpoint, and three people who were in the vehicle were killed, according to the army statement.
The wounded soldiers were serving at the checkpoint, while the affected UNIFIL members were in a UN peacekeeping vehicle that was passing through the checkpoint at the time, according to the army's statement.
Israeli forces and the Hezbollah militant group have been at war for more than a year, since Hezbollah began firing rockets across the border shortly after a deadly Hamas attack on southern Israel sparked the ongoing Gaza war in October last year.
Hamas has been declared a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union. The United States has declared Hezbollah a terrorist organization, while the European Union has blacklisted its armed wing, but not its political party.
The war on the Lebanese front has escalated significantly since mid-September, when Israel launched a massive aerial bombardment and ground invasion.
At least 3.000 people were killed and about 13.500 were wounded in Lebanon, about a quarter of whom were women and children, the Ministry of Health said.
A report by Lebanon's crisis response unit said 361.300 Syrians and over 177.800 Lebanese crossed into Syria between September 23 and November 1 to escape the fighting.
Hezbollah continues to send dozens of rockets and drones towards Israel. The missiles have so far killed 72 people in Israel, including 30 soldiers, Netanyahu's office said.
