Floods in South Sudan have affected 1,4 million people and displaced more than 379.000, the UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced today.
The UN agency has warned of a resurgence of malaria in several regions hit by bad weather.
Malaria threatens "the health system, and worsens the situation and impact in flood-affected areas," the statement said.
South Sudan is facing its worst flooding in decades, especially in the north, according to aid groups.
The floods affected the residents of 43 districts of South Sudan.
