At least 15 people were killed in two Israeli airstrikes near the capital of Syria, Damascus.
Sixteen people were wounded in two residential buildings, the Syrian state news agency SANA reported.
The target of one attack was the office of the Palestinian group Islamic Jihad.
SANA reported that air defenses were activated in Syria because the "enemy" was targeting a target south of the city of Homs, but gave no further details.
Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes against members of the Lebanese Hezbollah in Syria and officials of other Iran-backed groups.
