Bashar al-Assad, who ruled Syria for almost 25 years, is in Moscow with his family.
This, according to the Reuters agency, was published by several Russian media.
According to the same allegations, Russia granted asylum to the Assad family.
The Interfax news agency quoted an unnamed source as saying - "Syrian President Assad has arrived in Moscow. Russia has given them (him and his family) asylum for humanitarian reasons."
Assad left Syria after ordering a peaceful handover of power, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced earlier today.
