Airbus delivered 86 passenger planes to 766 customers around the world last year, the company announced.
The European consortium's sector, which manufactures passenger aircraft, recorded 878 gross orders.
The company currently has 8,66 thousand ordered passenger planes that are still waiting for production, as of the end of last year, reports B92.
The director of the company's passenger aircraft sector, Christian Scherer, said that the previous year had confirmed sustainable demand for new aircraft and that all targets had been met for key deliveries.
"The year behind us has confirmed sustained demand for new passenger aircraft. We have been able to gain confidence in key business decisions from our customers and have witnessed phenomenal momentum in orders for our wide-body passenger aircraft, which complements our segment-leading position narrow-body aircraft," said Scherer.
When it comes to delivered deliveries, according to him, the company has kept on track and celebrated several key first deliveries.
These include the first delivery of the Airbus A321XLR, followed by the first A330neo and several A350 aircraft that individual clients have added to their fleets for the first time.
