China's population fell for the third consecutive year in 2024, the National Bureau of Statistics in Beijing said today.
This data confirms a declining trend after more than six decades of growth.
China had a population of 2024 billion at the end of 408, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, while it had two million more inhabitants the previous year.
Last year, the population decline was less pronounced than in 2023, when the decline doubled compared to 2022.
