Richard Grenell, US President Donald Trump's special envoy for special missions, says the United States "does not need state-run media paid for by American taxpayers," referring to Radio Free Europe and Voice of America.
"Radio Free Europe and Voice of America are media outlets paid for by American taxpayers. They are state-owned media outlets. Those outlets are full of far-left activists. I have been working with these journalists for decades. It is a relic of the past. We do not need state-owned media outlets," Grenell wrote on X.
