Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called US President Donald Trump's proposal for the United States (US) to take control of the Gaza Strip "revolutionary" tonight.
"President Trump came with a completely different and much better vision for Israel - a revolutionary and creative approach," Netanyahu said upon his return from a visit to Washington.
The Israeli prime minister added that Trump is "very committed to implementing" the proposal and that their talks have yielded "exceptional results."
The US president announced a plan to take control of the Gaza Strip last Sunday, after receiving Netanyahu at the White House.

Trump reiterated that Gaza residents could be relocated to Jordan or Egypt, despite previous opposition from those countries and the Palestinians themselves.
Trump's statement sparked a wave of condemnation, both from Palestinians and leaders from the Middle East and other parts of the world.
