A suicide bomber blew himself up near a bank in northern Afghanistan today, killing and wounding several people, police said.
The attack took place near a branch of Kabul Bank in Kunduz province, a police statement said.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, and police are working to find those who organized the attack.
Gunmen from the Afghan branch of the Islamic State have carried out attacks across Afghanistan, although suicide attacks have become rare since the Taliban took power in August 2021.
The latest attack came two months after a suicide bombing in Kabul killed the Taliban's Minister for Refugees, Khalil Haqqani.
