United States President Donald Trump claims that leaders of many world countries have contacted him in an attempt to strike a deal to reduce tariffs.
Reportedly, 70 countries have expressed a desire to reach an agreement with the US.
"These countries are calling me, kissing my ass. They're dying to make a deal," Trump said at the Republican National Committee.

Mimicking the alleged behavior of those countries, Trump added:
"Please, please, sir, make a deal. I'll do anything."
He also said that he was right, unlike others, regarding the application of customs duties.
"Hell, I know what I'm doing. I'm the only one who would impose tariffs because everyone was afraid. They were afraid of criticism," the US president said.
A White House spokeswoman previously said that the phones were "ringing non-stop" and that as many as 70 countries had expressed a desire for an agreement.
